Race Telegrams
Mono Grid is a minimal motorsport strategy game built around reading signals. The player acts as race control for a two-car team: watching gaps, managing tyre risk, choosing pace calls, deciding when to pit, and reacting to changing race conditions sector by sector.
v0.70B expands the playtest from a single baseline loop into two authored circuits. MIRA LOOP remains the smooth first-race circuit, while OMEGA COMPLEX adds higher tyre load, lower overtaking potential, and stronger pit-timing pressure.
Track system
Race control
The core loop is deliberately compact: Push, Normal, Save, or Pit. Each choice changes pressure, tyre condition, gap behavior, and future pit-window risk.
v0.70B keeps the race-control desk quiet and keyboard-friendly while adding a second circuit, track-specific tyre behavior, cleaner status reading, and an intentional no-BGM audio pass.
Race memory
Mono Grid intentionally avoids online rankings. A strange race, recovered podium, or failed strategy can be saved as a local Race Telegram: a small archive object that turns a short run into something to review.
In v0.70B, Race Telegrams record track identity, circuit profile, and key outcomes, so MIRA LOOP and OMEGA COMPLEX feel like different memories rather than only different maps.

Design principles
The player acts as race control: observing patterns, managing risk, and making tactical calls instead of steering the car.
No online leaderboard, daily chores, licensed teams, or monetization pressure. The game is built for short, replayable solo sessions.
The audio pass uses tactile interface sounds, warnings, printer and shredder effects, and optional room ambience instead of continuous background music.
Playtest status
The playtest build adds MIRA LOOP and OMEGA COMPLEX, track-specific tyre pressure, Race Telegram track identity, tactile UI audio, audio toggles, and a dark itch.io presentation.
Recommended first run: MIRA LOOP / Sprint 5L / Relaxed. Suggested second run: OMEGA COMPLEX / Sprint 5L or Standard 8L / Standard.
